In Mexico The Day of the Dead is based on the visit of the dead. It is celebrated on November 2nd. The colors of the Day of the Dead are purple and yellow and its symbol is the skull. People are used to put altars with diferent things and each one with their meaning. They put candles to give light to their deads, they put fruit that are offerings that the nature give us. Also they put a glass with water because it gives energy to the road, they put food that their deads liked, a photo about their deads to have blessings, salt so their bodies don´t get lost, one road from the entrance door to the altar with mary gold flowers, and objects that belong to the dead. All these things are put in altars waiting for their deads to come back and enjoy all this.
